Personal Experience

Peter Kwok is the Chair of the Global Diaspora Confederation (GDC), a global network connecting and empowering diaspora communities worldwide. Originally from Hong Kong, Peter began his diaspora journey as a student in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he developed a passion for strengthening diaspora networks.
He founded the UK Federation of Chinese Professionals and later established the Global Diaspora Confederation, bringing together diaspora organizations to collaborate more closely. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he played a key role in uniting communities and introduced the idea of virtual third-party reporting to Police Scotland to enhance communication between diasporas and authorities.
Peter has advised several UK strategic groups on community safety, partnership, and diaspora engagement. He was recognized in the Platinum Jubilee Honours List, received the Cranfield University Alumni Award for Excellence, and is a Freeman of the City of Glasgow.
